" Selling my house "

I live in Hobart now and I was faced with selling my property long distance. This was not my first house sale and although I had a managing agent, I was keen to find the right person to sell me much loved house in Newtown. So I selected a number of property agents to appraise my property and I invited a relative, with expertize in marketing, to host the proceedings. May was the one who came up trumps. She had inspected with the greatest care and had noted the most different selling points, offering advice on things that needed to be done to refresh the house and having it looking at its best. I had lived in my little house for twenty eight wonderful years and during that time had become aware of Crystal Real Estate. Though small compared to the big guys, its reputation had been solid, reliable and growing. But I hand't met May Aoun. I have owned three apartments at Newtown and one at Stanmore for many years. The Newtown units have always been managed by Crystal Realty and the stanmore unit by a local agent. Earlier this year I decided to put the stanmore unit on the market and I received auction proposals from the stanmore agent and from Crystal Realty. I found the latter to be more attractive and an auction on 25 May 2019 was arranged. The sale campaign was managed by May. I found may to be very experienced and helpful in her approach to the proposed auction. Her advice regarding improvements that I envisaged was very valuable and in particular I accepted her recommendation on hiring display furniture. I found her online displays to be very good. There was strong indication of a likely sale price due to a fairly comparable recent sale. I set a reserve and also I envisaged a considerably higher amount as a possible outcome. After a limited number of inspections I received offers. I rejected these and decided to await her auction. However on bidder decided to accept my higher amount and the property was sold prior to auction. I felt that this met my expectation of the best possible outcome.
